Granted, King and Araya have been in the trenches a long time and Slayer remains the one band that every metalhead seems to be able to agree on regardless of individual tastes because of the welcome familiarity of those old songs; but one gets the impression from recent interviews that the pair would be just as happy to withdraw from the arena, figuratively and literally, and take a break from touring to focus on other projects.
